TM Unifi to Provide Free Wi-Fi Nationwide
Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak has launched Unifi’s “i-foundit!” app that will enable all Malaysians to access the Internet via wifi@unifi, previously known as TM WiFi.
Alongside the launch, our Prime Minister has also announced that charges for wifi@unifi will be waived until the end of this year. Interested users can download the app from the Google Play Store or the Apple App Store.
The i-foundit! app locates Wi-Fi hotspots and connect users to over 5,800 hotspots nationwide. After the free promotion period, wifi@unifi users will only be charged 10 sen per hour, according to our Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak.
You can expect speeds of up to 4Mbps. The best part is, you don’t have to be a Unifi customer to enjoy this free Wi-Fi access.

In other news, TM also revealed 2 new Unifi packages called Unifi ebiz and Unifi edu packages. The former is said to be catered to e-entrepreneurs whereas the latter will be focused more on youths and students at higher learning institutes. Both packages will have speeds of up to 100Mbps, along with wifi@unifi access for when you’re out an about.
Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak said:
The development of these segments is crucial in elevating Malaysia into a high-income nation. I hope the introduction of these new packages by TM will open up borderless potentials for the segments to grow further.
And lastly, TM also introduced Flow, an in-house chat application that replaces other popular instant messaging applications at work. The application is co-developed internally by TM.

Pokdepinion: Well, it looks like we’ll have free Wi-Fi access outside until 31st December 2017. Sounds neat. I mean, who doesn’t like free stuff? Just keep in mind that it’s not free forever.
