Grab has announced today of GrabPlatform, where it is set to be Southeast Asia’s first everyday SuperApp for partners to integrate their services with the company.

GrabPlatform

With GrabPlatform, Grab will add more highly used services to the app, together with partners, who can use it to integrate their services with Grab. They can then expand more efficiently across the region by using Grab’s users base and channels.

In addition to that launch, the company has also announced of its latest service in the form of GrabFresh, an on-demand grocery delivery service. Available in the app itself, the new addition is a collaboration made with HappyFresh, Southeast Asia’s grocery delivery provider.

Grab aims to be used as an everyday superapp in its new and refreshed features. The platform’s new home screen features single tap access to payments and easy navigation to all everyday services, news feed that helps users discover new places by reviews, or even the latest football scores at the World Cup.

GrabFresh will be available as a beta service in Jakarta from this month, and will be soon followed by Thailand and Malaysia by the end of 2018.

Where else, the new Grab everyday SuperApp experience, which they worked on a content partnership with Yahoo where you can get the latest news, will be available from this month. It will begin to roll out in Singapore and Indonesia on iOS from today, and on Android from 18 July. Other countries, including Malaysia will have the new Grab experience by Q3.

Pokdepinion: It seems that Grab is venturing into deeper markets, instead of their original ride-sharing service. What do you think of the news? Do you think you will utilize the app even more now? Like most of our other post, let us know what you think at the comment section down below!
