Edi Dharma was born on 21st. February 1982, in Jambi, Indonesia. He is the recipient of numerous accolades for being the Winner of the Grand Prize Awards at the 2020 13th International Zagreb Car Cartoon, Croatia, 2nd place winner at the Cartoon Contest Olive Oil Zaytin Festival in Cyprus, Turkish (2019) and 3rd place winner of Cartoon Contest at Balai Kartun Rossem in Kelantan, Malaysia (2019).

Describes the atmosphere of a region called Papua, where life is miserable, backward life (Primitive) shackles life society in terms of economy, education, health and a decent life, not to mention armed conflict that has not ended since long time ago. Illustration of two indigenous tribesmen carrying a big key that symbolizes freedom means they want to know the world area and the padlock that reads “Human Right” is the reconciliation that is needed in order there is an open path to the future that is expected. As for the illustration of the head of the animal (Pig) what is burned means that only a part of the natural wealth that is currently available small, while large natural resources are still controlled by foreigners, and cannot be enjoyed by indigenous tribes… The whole point of this image is the struggle. The indigenous people fight for determine the future of those who are still locked tightly by the problems that never end.
