Bern Fabro is freelance political cartoonist and member of The Cartoon Movement. He was the former editorial cartoonist of SunStar Cebu last 2017. He is a Founding Chairman of Yoyoy Satiristang Bisaya and organizer of Cebu Lampoon Festival. He is the former Creative Editor/ Senior Cartoonist of LAKANDIWA, the official student Publication of University of Cebu, Main Campus (2007 to 2011). Last 2018, his work is one of the 30 cartoons that best illustrated the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (United Nations Human Rights Office and Cartoon Movement) during the 70th anniversary of UDHR held at the Peace Palace, the Hague, Netherlands. He is also Civil Engineer.
This cartoon is about the red-tagging of government against activists, artists, and journalist here in the Philippines, some were arrested, and others are killed.
It’s about the abusive employers’ practices (not proper compensation and benefits) here in the Philippines that for many years has been tolerated.
